Lake Clark Air Charter Flights

Angry Eagle Lodge will schedule your charter reservations for you!

Lake Clark Air (LCA) is a private charter service that operates 8-passenger, twin-engine Navajo and 15-passenger Beech 99 aircraft between Anchorage and Angry Eagle Lodge. LCA operates out of Merrill Field, a private airstrip located on the north side of Anchorage. Plan on arriving at the LCA office at Merrill Field at 9:00 AM the day before your hunt begins. The flight is approximately 1 hour and offers great vistas of the snow-covered Alaskan Range and breathtaking glaciers. Be sure to dress warm for the flight
and have your camera with you, as well as your rain gear.

Each person is allowed 50 lb of baggage on the LCA charter flights; there is a charge of $0.90/lb for any luggage over 50 lb/person. The round-trip charter cost is $575.00/person, plus tax. They accept cash, check, or VISA/MC/AMX.

Clients will pay this charter flight upon arrival at the Lake Clark Air Office.

Anchorage Hotels

We recommend booking as soon as possible!

On your return, you will depart from Pedro Bay the day after your successful hunt, or the end of the hunt date. Once in Anchorage, Knights Taxidermy will expedite the hide and skull for you. From there, it is just a taxicab ride to the airport.

Safety Information

Trip Insurance

We do not offer trip insurance, but it is something to consider. Our policy is that trip deposits, balances, and airline tickets paid are not refundable unless we can find a replacement hunter. You will find a number of companies that offer trip insurance you can purchase online. We suggest looking at globalrescue.com, as they offer a multitude of options and have built a very reputable name in the business.

Emergency Facilities

There is a clinic for minor injuries and illnesses in Pedro Bay (5 minute four-wheeler ride). The closest major hospital is Anchorage (one hour away from Pedro Bay by commercial plane). Our plane can get to Anchorage in an hour and a half, but this is not guaranteed, nor is the availability of the plane. Please assess your medical problems before arriving at the lodge. Please keep your essential medications with you at all times. Although extremely rare, there are times when we might not return to the lodge due to weather or other extraordinary situations.

You should be aware that there are inherent dangers and risks associated with any wilderness activity, including but not limited to: the hazards of traveling in natural terrain, boating, aircraft, and accident or illness in remote locations without immediate access to medical facilities. As such, you will be required to sign a release and indemnity form at the lodge before your hunting trip begins. Please know, however, that your safety is our priority and we will do all we can to ensure you have a safe and uneventful hunting trip!
